About BioNAT

An antimicrobial polyester yarn developed by Turktex to provide lasting freshness from inside the fibre.

A TURKTEX innovation

Clean performance engineered into polyester.

BioNAT is a polyester-based synthetic yarn with antibacterial and antifungal properties. It helps block the growth and propagation of bacteria and fungi while reducing the odours they can create.

Unlike a temporary surface treatment, BioNAT receives its antimicrobial agents during melt spinning. This integrates the active function into the polymer structure and supports performance through repeated use, washing and abrasion.

From fibre to finished textile

Flexible constructions, one embedded technology.

How it works

Protection becomes part of the material.

01

Melt spinning

Antimicrobial agents are added directly to the polymer during the fibre-forming process.

02

Controlled action

The integrated additive helps inhibit microbial growth and the odours linked to bacteria and fungi.

03

Lasting performance

The function is designed to remain after repeated washing, abrasion and subsequent dyeing processes.
